The Committee to Elect John Intoppa would like to formally announce their bid for a seat on the Medford School Committee (2023):
….. I officially pulled papers to run for the Medford School Committee once again. Four years ago I had a goal to get conversations started and to make change for the student experience. After coming a bit short of making it on, I shifted my direction and ended up working in higher education for nearly three and a half years. I spent those years working on the goals I had for the city at a state education level - making the student experience more enjoyable, welcoming, and interdependent.
My goals of communication, initiative, and social responsibility are still intact and elevated more than they were four years ago. While I go around collecting signatures and talking to residents - I foresee my platform shifting throughout the campaign. As of right now my two main focuses are once again around the arts within our public schools / community as well as mental health awareness and action. There will be more information surrounding the platform as time goes on.
My website is currently down and will be newly updated as soon as possible. Billing information needs to be updated.
I am the product of public education, from primary to higher. My work the last four years has been in student leadership, success, and development. I am ready to fight for our students and make sure their voices are heard and the seat is ready at the table for them in discussion.
Thank you.
